Accommodation
There are many hotels and B&Bs throughout Leeds (naturally) where attendees might find accommodation. These can be tracked down by following this link.
We have, however, already negotiated with a nearby Holiday Inn Express (and when we say nearby we mean that it has been built in what used to be the Royal Armouries car park about 100 yards from the front door) for a special reduced delegate rate.
Accommodation here will be charged at the following rates:
- 1 night stays - £75.00 per room per night inclusive of continental breakfast for up to 2 adults.
- 2 night stays - £59.00 per room per night inclusive of continental breakfast for up to 2 adults.
- 3 night stays - £49.00 per room per night inclusive of continental breakfast for up to 2 adults.
Rates Available 20/02/09-22/02/09 only - additional nights can be booked on the standard advance purchase or Best Flex rate.
These are discounted rates specifically for this event. To book this accommodation, you must do so directly by calling +44(0)870-890-0455 and quoting SWASH-UK and you will receive the reduced rates for the period of the 20-22 February 2009.
Furthermore, while parking at the Royal Armouries multi-story NCP carpark can be a bit expensive, guests staying at the Holiday Inn Express will be eligible for a parking rate of roughly £5 per 24 hours though the hotel reception.
We would like to encourage as many delegates as possible to stay at this venue (don't imagine you will find B&B accommodation in Leeds for under £25 pppn) as they have given us preferential treatment and rates and it might be nice to occupy the entire hotel.

We have been informed that the Holiday Inn has plenty of rooms available for our use on the Friday and Sunday nights but may not have enough available rooms to host ALL delegates on the Saturday night. For this reason, you may also want to consider contacting Jury’s Inn on 0113-283-8805 www.leedshotels.jurysinns.com which is a short walk the other side of the Royal Armouries. It is not an ideal situation, but we cannot create availability where there is none.
In either case, we encourage you to book your accommodation early!
